Clarify the cause first
Buildings from before 1970 were built without today's requirements for thermal and moisture protection. From outside, rain, frost and UV radiation attack the wall; from inside, cold wall surfaces where condensation and mould can form. A good decision looks at both sides of the wall.
Why not always thick external insulation
Projecting window sills, roof overhangs, downpipes and plot boundaries make a thick build-up costly and complicated. With stucco, clinker brick, natural stone or architecture worth preserving, it changes the appearance. PScoat is only about 1 mm thick: reveals, roof overhangs and plinths stay as they are, and the facade keeps its character.
What the layer delivers
- Vapour-permeableWater vapour permeability 184 g/(m²·d), class V1, sd value 0.11 m.
- Rain protectionWater absorption 0.07 kg/(m²·h^0.5), class W3.
- AdhesionAdhesion on concrete 1.4 N/mm², after 20 freeze-thaw cycles 0.8 N/mm².
- Effect on real buildingsHouse built in 1890, annual heat demand from about 40,000 to below 15,000 kWh (more than 60 % less). Block of flats from 1960, U-value of the exterior wall from 2.63 to 0.096 W/(m²K).
Judge economy by more than the price per square metre
What matters is what the facade saves over the years. The packages: Easy €15/m² (guaranteed U-value 0.8), Plus €29/m² (0.2), Premium €45/m² (0.11), each gross; Komplett with application from €100/m² after measurement (0.10). Every package comes with a written U-value guarantee, tied to the system build-up. The address calculator shows savings and payback for your address.
Application: the details determine service life
The substrate must be sound and clean, cracks and connections are treated beforehand, and reveals and corners are coated carefully. Clean workmanship is the basis of the guarantee.
